The necklace is not 16" + 2", which is 18". It is 16 7/8" total. The "adjustable" portion measures 1".

I was planning to wear it at the 18" length, so this doesn't work.

The necklace itself is fine. Smooth, shiny, well formed cross and an ok thickness on the chain. The shortage on the length is the deal-breaker.

This is such a pretty necklace. It is not too big and sits at the perfect spot to wear with almost anything. I also like that it can be made shorter or longer depending on what you are wearing. I got one for my neice as well (she is 13) and her mom told me she wears it all of the time. So happy with this purchase

I really have nothing bad to say about this necklace. I was concerned when I first purchased it about the comment below saying the chain was too short and it should be more like an anklet, but I ordered it anyways and the length is perfect. I don't like long necklaces anyways, but this lays nicely below my neck and it's so shiny and nice quality as well! :) I'm happy with it!

I have been looking for exactly this necklace and it came in very nice packaging and it is the perfect length. I have work it only twice now and it is already really tarnished which has not ever happened with any other silver jewelry I own unless it sits in my jewelry box for long periods of time. :(
