Prior to purchase, I was a bit concerned about stainless vs. silver. However, I was very pleased to find that the dog tag and chain were a heavy, durable stainless steel. The overall quality of the pendant and chain is well-executed and high quality. The only downside was that it was advertised as inscribed with the Lord's Prayer. In reality, only a portion of the Lord's Prayer appears in the background behind the cross. However, it does give the pendant an intriguing look.

Wow, purchased as a first communion gift for one of my sons. I let him pick it out, and despite the fact that I am not crazy about dog-tag style crosses, I must say that it is great. Very attractive, with a portion of the Our Father as a background. the 10K gold plating on the cross seems like it will stand up to the abuse a kid will heap upon it. Note that the size is smaller than a regulation size dog tag, as they state the size clearly in the description. Despite the fact that the chain is the linked-balls variety, it has a nice lobster clasp that is easy for my son to operate, and it seems sturdy.
