The cross is stamped STER. and the chain is stamped "Sterling". Unlike the picture, the sign does not extend past the cross (and it doesn't have that banner appearance), and the corpus appears smaller and less detail with the arms and legs not extending as far. This crucifix looks more like this product Sterling Silver "Two-Tone" Crucifix Cross Pendant with Crystal, 18" without the crystals (instead it would be blank space on the cross). It's not a bad crucifix, especially for a child (whom we purchased it for). It just looks plainer than the photo reveals. Overall, we are happy with the purchase, since the child is as well. I just thought I was getting something a little more detailed.

I was thrilled when I received this beautiful crucifix. I was a little leery about the two tone because i didn't know if it would look cheap. It sooo did not. It was perfect. The size was a little smaller than I had anticipated but not enough to be disappointed. I almost ordered the 20 inch chain and I am glad I didn't. The 18 inch was perfect for an 8 year old. I think that this gift could definitely be for a boy or girl. I also think it would be fine for a woman as well.
